Richard Gere checked into Cedar Sinai hospital over the weekend to have a child's toy removed from his anus.  Reports indicate a 'Zhu Zhu Pet' being stuck up his rectum.  No stranger to the ER Gere had a similar instance a decade ago when he was treated in a nearby Los Angeles ER having 'a live gerbil' stuck up crawling in his poop-shoot.

It seems the has-been 80's actor who starred in Pretty Woman and An Officer and a Gentleman has hit hard times, becoming two-times publicly humiliated after this second 'hamster' fetish incident. 

MTV's Doctor Drew Pinsky is quoted as saying, "No Buddha could spin positive the bad news coming to this Hollywood pervert," and stated further that Gere should, "be cast in Celebrity Rehab and get the help he's needed."

Zhu Zhu Pets are the hottest new toy for this Christmas season.  They are battery operated hamsters which can be accessorized with cages, balls and wheels.  The simulated pets are generally marketed to boys and girls under the age of ten.
